Scope:
Design a retail store and atelier for an up-and-coming fashion designer. Using their next collection as inspiration, create a store that speaks to their aesthetic, highlights their collection, and supports their goals as a designer.
Intent:
The couture collection was inspired by Renaissance costuming combined with harder elements of chainmail and leather. This brought to mind the early Renaissance which would have been backdropped by the architecture of the previous Gothic period. We developed that idea, using the shapes of the Gothic arch and chainmail links to inform the store's design, adding elements of softness, such as flowers, to round the edges for a dramatic but approachable experience.
